What CBD oil dosage is best–a beginner’s guide

Thousands upon thousands of people everyday use CBD as a therapy for a wide range of medical conditions like stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, inflammation and depression. In this article, I will go over how to choose the right CBD oil for the condition you’re trying to treat. It is important to have an idea of the right concentration oil to use, in other words, what CBD oil dosage is best?

Estimate dosage based on your body weight

As with most supplements, people with more body mass will need more CBD to experience the effects. A good rule of thumb to determine the optimal CBD dosage is 1-5 mg for every 10 pounds of body weight based on the level of pain. For example, 20-30 MG would be a good starting dosage for a 200 lb individual, while 15 -25 MG would be great for another who weighs 150 lb.

Start small and increase slowly

While your friend who weighs the same as you, may take 25 MG twice a day and claim all sorts of benefits, this may not be the best way to choose your dosage. The reason is, you may have a different body chemistry and this will affect how you react to CBD. It is important to determine your initial dosage based on your weight, gauge how your body responded to the amount of CBD, and then increase gradually monitoring your body’s reaction until you find the right dosage for your situation.

How to measure your CBD oil dosage

Taking CBD oil is simple–just fill the dropper, place under your tongue, hold for 30-90 seconds, and swallow. Figuring out how much CBD oil is in the dropper, you can see how much you are taking. A dropper contains 1ML of liquid. If you know how many milliliters are in your CBD oil, you can use this formula to find out how much is in the dropper:

[ Total CBD in Bottle] / [Number of Milliliters in Bottle]= MG of CBD oil in dropper

For example if you have a bottle of 30 ML CBD oil that has 1500 MG of CBD (numbers are a little big):

1500/ 30 = 50MG of CBD oil per dropper. If your dosage is 25 MG of CBD oil, and a single dropper of that 1500 MG CBD oil contains 50 MG, you would simply fill the dropper half-way. Although this method isn’t totally accurate, it is better than not measuring at all.

In conclusion, the most accurate way to dose CBD oil

Because CBD capsules contain the exact amount of CBD, they provide the most accurate way to dose CBD. If your preferred CBD dosage is 16MG -25MG then simply buy a bottle of 20 MG or 25 MG capsules and you are set. It doesn’t get easier than swallowing a capsule. Other ways to consume CBD that are accurate are CBD gummies or CBD edibles, although they may not be as convenient as taking a capsule.
